What is FCCLA? FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience is a dynamic and effective national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Club events include school and community service projects such as Give Kids the World, book drive for teen parents at COPE, collection for domestic violence shelter, Decorate-a Villa at Give Kids the World for Christmas, and fundraising.
Who can join? any student that has been enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program.
How can I join? Come to a meeting, fill out an application, and pay chapter/state/national dues of $30.00 by October 3rd, which includes a club t-shirt. Cash or check to SCHS.
ST. CLOUD HIGH FCCLA STUDENTS RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING SKILLS IN NATIONAL COMPETITION
Anaheim, CA. – St. Cloud High School recently participated in STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) at
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America’s (FCCLA) 2011 National Leadership Conference.
Eleven students competed in one of 28 national STAR Events available to FCCLA students. Their medals were presented at
a recognition session honoring all participants at the Anaheim Convention Center on Thursday, July 14. More than 6,300
members, advisers, alumni, and guests from across the nation attended the meeting. Approximately 3,500 students advanced
from the local, regional, and state level of STAR Events to the national meeting.
