All Theatre students are REQUIRED to see one (Advanced Theatre must see 2) production(s) each semester and write a one-page critique and provide proof that they have seen the show. The following are the shows that are suggested:
- Shows at the various professional theatre companies in the area. See the RESOURCES page for a list
- Any show at any high school or middle school (any county, any state)
- Shows at Osceola Center for the Arts
- Shows at Churches and other houses of worship
- The following shows at Disney's Animal Kingdom: Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo the Musical
- Nautilus Theatre at SeaWorld
- Cirque du Soleil
- Blue Man Group
- Medieval Times
- Arabian Nights
- Capone's Dinner Theatre
- Sleuth Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre
PLEASE NOTE: If there is a show you'd like to see, check with Ms. Loftus to see if it counts for this project.
The following are the various forms of "proof" a student can provide:
- Program
- Ticket Stub
- PRINTED picture of the student in front of the sign for the show - Please note: DO NOT email the photo or ask if you can print it out in the Theatre room.
- Signature of a pastor or religious leader (if seeing a church/house of worship show)
- Other forms of proof approved after speaking to Ms. Loftus

Once you've seen your show here's how to write the critique:
- First paragraph: Summarize the show that you saw. If the show is made up of multiple shows please do a short synopsis of each piece.
- Second paragraph: Write about what you liked/what you think was successful and then back it up with why you feel that way
- Third and final paragraph: Write about what you didn't like/what needed improvement and explain why you feel that way.
